BULK TRANSSHIPMENT SLOVAKIA, a.s. was established in 2007 and operates the transhipment facilities at the Čierna nad Tisou border crossing station (BCS). The company’s shareholders are BUDAMAR LOGISTIC, a.s. and Železničná spoločnosť Cargo Slovakia, a.s. . Čierna nad Tisou BCS is located on Slovakia’s eastern border and at the Schengen border at a break of gauge between broad gauge (1,520 mm) and standard gauge (1,435 mm) track and an interface point between CIM and SMGS modes of transport.  

We are a dynamic company whose core business is providing transhipment, loading, unloading and transfer services involving a variety of commodities. The quality of transhipment services involving bulk cargo is guaranteed by the transhipment centres with integrated circular tippers and fully automated transhipment technology. During the winter months, we also provide defrosting services for transhipped materials in two defrosting halls and offer customers the option to use technical humidification of bulk cargo to temporarily prevent bulk cargo materials from freezing during transport to the final customer. For transhipments of ingots, sheets, coil products, wood and general cargo, the company has a double-decker gantry crane rated for 50 t and 12.5 t using 31 + 8-m long booms.

We have been active in the rail transport sector since 2009. We are a licensed rail transport operator. The company’s motive power fleet is composed of 31 electric and 7 diesel motive power units.

Our company holds Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) certification and maintains an ISO 9001 quality management system certificate.
